Enjoy a tasty, healthy, one-of-a-kind snacking experience with Simply 7 Snack

More often than not, it can be difficult choosing snacks that are tasty and healthy, with nutrition labels containing ingredients that most consumers don’t recognise and can’t even pronounce. Founded in 2010, in Houston, Texas, Simply 7 Snacks prides itself on making all-natural, wholesome chips that provide a one-of-a-kind snacking experience for the health-conscious consumer. After making its mark in America, Simply 7 Snacks launched in Australia in 2013 with two delicious flavours – Hummus Sea Salt and Lentil Sea Salt.

The name “Simply 7” was developed under the idea that consumers should be able to identify the raw vegetable, fruit, grain, legume or ingredients in snacks they purchase. Simply 7 Snacks strives to show that simple and natural ingredients can actually be delicious without sacrificing taste. The company stands behind seven core standards:

0 grams of trans-fat and no cholesterol
No artificial ingredients or flavours
No additives or preservatives
No wheat ingredients
All natural recipes - nothing genetically modified
Simple ingredients
Simply delicious

Snacking has never been healthier, with the range containing up to 50% less fat than potato chips. Each product caters for a range of dietary requirements, as it does not contain any traces of wheat, soy, peanuts, treenuts, eggs, shellfish or sesame seeds. It is perfect for vegetarians, vegans or people on a kosher diet.

“Imagine the first guy who thought to turn a potato into a potato chip…that’s us, with unique ingredients. We believe that ingredients used in our products are equally important as the taste,” says Rashim Oberoi, President of Simply7®. “We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that our chips are authentic and are guaranteed to be better for you. Simply 7 works closely with suppliers to get all-natural ingredients that are non-GMO and live up to our standards of quality and taste,” says Rashim.

Hummus is traditionally used in dips and is appreciated for its fantastic nutritional value and creamy flavour, due to its main ingredient, the chickpea. Designed to provide consumers an authentic hummus experience in a bite-size chip, the Hummus Sea Salt is baked chickpea flour made into a raw-pasta-like shell. For a satisfying crunchy texture and a unique kick of hummus, the shell is then baked and flash-fried for a few seconds with a special blend of seasonings. The Hummus Sea Salt only contains 0.5 grams of saturated fat.

Nutrient-packed lentils aren’t just for soups and salads anymore, with the unique taste of Lentil Sea Salt chips. Lentils have been a staple in many cuisines around the globe as it is low in sodium and calories and contains no cholesterol. Lentil Sea Salt contains zero grams of saturated fat and is produced with four core ingredients – lentil flour, potato starch, oil and sea salt. The pinch of sea salt allows the lentil to shine through.

Each flavour tastes great on its own, but they also work as an accompaniment to dip. All flavours have a specific dip recipe on the back of the packaging to let consumers know which dip would pair great with that chip.

Simply 7 Snacks is available at a range of different stores. Hummus Sea Salt and Lentil Sea Salt are available at selected Coles, Target, leading health food stores and independent grocers. Lentil Sea Salt is also available at selected Woolworths stores.

RRP $5.99 per 99g-140g packet.
