If you are like most Australians, you have an empty wall in your home and you want to fill it with something truly meaningful. Happy family pictures are nostalgic for the hallway, and sunny pastoral scenes can warm up the chilliest bathroom, but this is your spot to be you, and you want a unique
piece of art that reflects who you are on a deep, idiosyncratic level no mundane photo or traditional art style can.

It sounds like what you need to do is to go out and choose a piece of abstract art. This is a modern art genre that speaks directly to the individual, what it means to you may not be at all what it means to others who view it, making the piece almost as truly personal as if you had painted it yourself. It's a piece that speaks to your inmost being and reflects it back in vivid colours and dynamic forms, and only you can interpret its message to you. There are no two pieces exactly the same, and this one is yours and yours alone!

With all that said, choosing the perfect abstract Australian art piece for you might sound a bit daunting. Some people are able to walk into a gallery, make a cursory glance around, then point at a piece and announce with utter certainty "That[s it" and they will probably be right! In my case I felt
the need to put a bit more thought into it, so I will now share with you a couple of the key steps in my personal process:

Consider Your Space's Existing Colour Scheme- Unless your chosen space to display the piece is completely empty, there are going to be other items of furniture and art already present that you might want to build upon and accentuate, or create tension with! For example, if the extant colour
scheme is neutral you might want to choose a particularly vivid piece that will pop off the wall, grabbing the instant attention of all who view it.

Consider The Desired Mood You Wish To Evoke - Is this the space you go to for quiet contemplation? Soft blues and greens in gentle forms might be just the thing. Are you looking for something to stimulate your creative drive? Bright reds, oranges, and magentas presented in bold shapes can
motivate and inspire.

I hope this helps you choose the piece that speaks to you!
