The Queensland Government is making grants of up to $5000.00 available to home-based entrepreneurs in what is the first program of its kind in Australia.
Under the Queensland entrepreneurs of Tomorrow Home Based Business Program funding will be available to stay-at-home-parents seeking to establish or develop home based businesses.
The Government has committed $1 Million over three years to support this program with funding of up to $5000.00 provided to successful applicants.
Peace & Katy of AusMumpreneur have been a key partner in initiating this landmark grant program for Queensland and were excited to hear that this generous package had been officially confirmed at the Queensland budget briefing in Brisbane.
“We’re so delighted to see Queensland take the initiative to invest in home-based business. Mumpreneurs are generating millions of dollars for the Australian economy and are nimble and resourceful, able to get unique business ideas off the ground quickly. They’re leading the way in digital innovation, imagine what’s possible with a little extra support to get things moving.” Katy said.
To be eligible for the grant, home based business owners must have at least one child under 12 in their care for at least 50% of the time or more, have an ABN, be an Australian resident and be based in Queensland.
The first intake will open soon and we’re encouraging applicants to get in quick as a limited number of grants will be available in the first round. If you’re interested in applying for this grant or finding out more visit ausmumpreneur.com
