Kris Madden Travel Trade Journalist Appointed as Editor of Travel Bulletin

The Travel Daily group is thrilled to announce the appointment of expert travel trade journalist Kris Madden as the new editor of travelBulletin.

Kris has extensive industry experience and is widely travelled, with her long career in travel writing seeing articles appearing in numerous Australian and international print and online publications. She is an experienced travel trade editor and accolades for her work include being a finalist in the AFTA National Travel Industry Awards 'Best Travel Writer' category for several years running.

“I'm so thrilled to be joining the travelBulletin team, and look forward to continuing to build on the growing momentum of Australia's most respected travel industry print publication,” Madden said.

Publisher Bruce Piper welcomed Kris to the organization, saying: “Since we took over travelBulletin last year our redesign and relaunch of the magazine has met with huge acclaim from across the industry. Our circulation has surged, particularly among front-line travel consultants and home-based agents, and travelBulletin is now distributed to all members of groups such as Travel Counsellors and Magellan Travel – in addition to our extensive database covering Flight Centre, Helloworld and others, not to mention huge readership among industry suppliers”.

Madden takes over effective 3rd August 2015 from Louise Wallace, who has led travelBulletin since last year's acquisition by the Travel Daily group. Louise is moving on to a role in the not-for-profit sector and Piper wished her all the best in her future career.

The August 2015 edition of travelBulletin, which includes full coverage of last week's National Travel Industry Awards, has just been published and will be distributed across the country in the coming days. For a sneak peek see the online version at www.travelbulletin.com.au.
