Sokyo | Sunday, 8 May, 12pm-2pm

Transport mum to Tokyo for the day with a special eight-dish set menu crafted by Japanese cuisine master, Chase Kojima. Ease into Mother's Day with a glass of Moët & Chandon Champagne before relishing Sokyo's innovative take on Japanese cuisine. Menu highlights include the stunning maguro tataki with seared tuna, carbonised leek aioli, pickled mushrooms, asparagus and smoked ponzu; and red snapper tempura and lamb chops with charred eggplant puree, aka miso and basil. Delight mum with a mouth-watering three-course lunch paired with Mumm Champagne at BLACK by ezard. Take in one of Sydney's best harbour views, while you sip champagne and enjoy seasonal dishes from the contemporary Australian grill, including handmade gnocchi, grass fed Angus beef and fresh snapper. Gather the family and spoil mum with a taste of Italy at Osteria Balla Manfredi. Indulge with a four-course menu designed by renowned chef Stefano Manfredi, matched with glistening Sydney Harbour views. Begin with fresh antipasto and move slowly through each course, which showcases the very best of autumn produce, such as risotto with wild mushrooms and truffle butter, wood-fired Yamba prawns with baby fennel, olive and capers, and a decadent dolce of lemon and meringue tart. CASUAL DINING

Harvest Buffet | Sunday, 8 May, from 11:30am

Spoil mum with a feast for the senses. Bring the family to enjoy dishes from around the world at The Star's newly opened Harvest Buffet, featuring an international array of delicious, seasonal offerings. Graze your way through five speciality stations, as well as the fresh seafood and decadent dessert stations. Lunch and dinner seatings are priced at $75 per adult including a complimentary glass of Morgan's Bay Sparkling Cuvee, and $25 for children (aged 5-12). Children 4 and under eat for free. No reservations required.

Pizzaperta | Sunday, 8 May

If your mum is a pizza fan she'll love the Mother's Day special prepared by the Pizzaperta team. Sample the heart-shaped margherita napoletana ($20) and if you have room, enjoy the sweet Nutella twist with almonds, cream, shaved dark chocolate and of course, Nutella ($20).

Fat Noodle | Sunday, 8 May

Take mum to Luke Nguyen's famed Fat Noodle restaurant for a tantalising Mother's Day dish of braised spanner crab with dried scallops and double boiled Chinese cabbage in a duck and carrot sauce reduction ($30).

Food Quarter | Sunday, 8 May

The Star's Food Quarter will be open on Mother's Day offering two delicious seafood specials of pan fried barramundi with avocado salsa verde and roast chat potatoes ($21.50), or prawn pad kee mao ($18.50).
