Hot Springs Celebrates Seniors Week

Peninsula Hot Springs is set to stage a full calendar of activities this October 5th to 9th as part of the Seniors Week festivities which are celebrated across Victoria. Included in the program are a range of complimentary health and wellness activities including warm water exercise classes, global bathing journey, LI'TYA product demonstrations and Qi Gong.
Victorian Seniors Festival is an annual festival in October that celebrates older Victorians and includes a full calendar of events such as concerts, tours, sports, dance and music workshops.
Peninsula Hot Springs sees a number of older guests who often bathe every week. According to General Manager, Brook Ramage: “Our older guests are some of our most loyal visitors. Our Seniors Week activities are a way of saying thank-you.”
Peninsula Hot Springs is also running a 'nominate a senior competition' in which the winner will be drawn during Seniors Week. The competition is designed to recognise a senior citizen for their support and work within the community. The winner will receive a spa treatment package inclusive of bathing, a 60 minute spa treatment and lunch.
Mr Ramage also adds that the “Seniors Week activities and competition are an extension of our offering for this market. We noticed that a number of over 60 year olds guests were visiting regularly to alleviate their arthritic pains. In June, we decided to start offering weekly warm water exercise classes as a natural way to ease their pain and also to develop their core strength. What started as one class has now developed into three.” The Seniors Week activities and warm water exercise classes are perfect for guests who want to get active, improve their overall fitness and connect with others.
