SPIRITUALITY UNPLUGGED:
WORLD RENOWNED VEDIC TEACHER SHOWS HOW TO CULTIVATE HAPPINESS THROUGH MINDFULNESS
With everything the modern world has on offer, from advances in technology to “unique and exciting” experiences, why is happiness still so hard to find? What role does mindfulness play in our search for happiness?
World-renowned yoga wisdom teacher Acharya Das is gearing up for his second Australian speaking tour this spring and will be making stops in Sydney and Wollongong from 1-4 November, sharing a series of enlightening, relevant talks on what the wisdom of yoga can teach us.
In Sydney City on 3 November, Acharya Das will be discussing what role mindfulness plays in our search for happiness, answering questions such as, what is the true meaning of mindfulness? Is our mind our friend or our enemy? What is our relationship to our mind, and how can we exercise control over the mind to help us become truly happy? The following night in Wentworthville, Acharya Das will discuss the importance of the ancient yoga texts and wisdom in Western society.
“This ancient and authentic spiritual process is an incredible inward journey, a journey from darkness into the light of self-realization and happiness,” Acharya Das said.
Acharya Das is an internationally respected teacher of Vedic and yoga philosophy, meditation and kirtan. He has as an uncommonly deep understanding of yoga philosophy and practice and conveys that message in a clear, simple and often times humorous manner. Acharya Das is a student of renowned spiritual luminaries Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupanada and Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad in the Brahma Gaudiya yogic lineage.
Acharya Das has served as the General Secretary of the World Vaishnava Association, an umbrella organization for over 50 Indian and International spiritual organizations. He has been sharing yoga wisdom and practices with appreciative audiences around the world for over 40 years.
Following on from a highly successful tour earlier this year, Acharya das returns to Australia for a series of talks in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. For more information on his speaking tour visit http://www.asmy.org.au/ac-tour.
