Greg Tonner, CEO of the North Queensland Cowboys premiership team will be cheering on the small business community next month as he joins the Council of Small Business of Australia (COSBOA)’s Summit Start Up, the prelude to its annual Summit.
Opening the Summit Start Up on Wednesday 6 July in Brisbane, Greg Tonner will meet with small business owners at the informal networking event to celebrate their passion and dedication. He will meet and greet guests ahead of delivering a short presentation about the importance of innovation and the similarities between managing a winning club and small business – spirit, endurance and hard work.
Mr Tonner says he is proud to be part of the event and meet with local small business people, who deliver much to their communities.
“Small businesses are a driving force in our local economy, fostering innovation, character and community. I look forward to joining small business people to celebrate their significant achievements and contributions to society at this important, once-a-year networking event,” says Mr Tonner.
Taking place ahead of the Vodafone National Small Business Summit, the Summit Start Up event is a rare opportunity for the small business community to come together and meet the leaders in their field.
Paul Nielsen, Chairman of COSBOA commented, “The Summit Start Up will provide small business people with the opportunity to celebrate their powerful, positive impact on Australia. No one knows more what it means to be a small business owner in Australia than fellow small business owners, so don’t miss out on this exclusive chance to network, share stories, be inspired and grow at the Summit Start Up.”
The Summit Start Up will take place on Wednesday 6 July from 6-9pm at the Brisbane Hilton Hotel. Tickets are $30 and include a plus one for each ticket holder.
